ADMET environmental chambers

F-280DT Environmental Chamber

ADMET’s environmental chamber is a two-in-one system (furnace and freezer) that can be configured for use with single or dual-column universal testing machines. The F-280DT environmental chamber is the standard configuration and can test materials up to 350˚C. Either LN2 or CO2 cooling gases can be used with the chamber. Standard dimensions are 220 x 220 x 580mm (8.6 x 8.6 x 22.8in). Environmental chamber dimensions and temperature ranges can be customized upon request.

Chambers come with slide rack rails that allow the chamber to be pulled out of the machine when not in use. The 4-glass-layered door window is heated to reduce icing and condensation during low temperature testing. An optional interior or door light can also be added. A full line of complementary grips, pullrods and extensometers to be used with the environmental chambers is available.

High-Temperature Split Tube Furnaces

ADMET’s high-temperature split tube furnaces, mounts, and accessories deliver exceptional performance for advanced materials testing up to 1700°C. Conforming with industry standards such as ASTM E21 and ISO 6892-2 where heat values and distribution are key, ADMET F-1700HT furnaces are used with new or existing universal testing machines to test a wide range of materials.

Whether you need a small, focused heat zone or a larger, more comprehensive setup, ADMET offers furnaces customizable to fit your requirements. Configurations include interior diameters from 2” to 9” and heated specimen lengths from 2” to 10”. Each model is designed to accommodate a variety of testing scenarios.

Operating in a temperature range from 300°C to 1700°C, the F-1700HT is equipped with advanced heating elements. These include Iron-Chrome-Aluminum Alloy Wire, Silicon Carbide, and Molybdenum Disilicide, ensuring accurate and consistent heating. The PID control system guarantees precise temperature regulation. Additional sensors and safety switches enhance operational safety, protecting both the user and the equipment.

Users can choose from a variety of mounting and clamping options. Inside the chamber, options include threaded fixtures and custom grips. Outside, standard grips with cooled faces are available. The design is robust, starting at 6 inches larger than the internal space to provide optimal insulation and rigidity.

Environmental Baths

ADMET environmental baths allow testing in different mediums at controlled temperatures. Typical applications include testing of biomaterials, stents, and sutures in various mediums. The bath medium in the standard model is contained in an acrylic rectangular flask that is biomaterial and saline compliant. Standard dimensions are 305 x 203 x 76mm (12 x 8 x 3in). Environmental baths can be customized upon request.

The standard system includes drainage and fill ports. Other available accessory options include a PID temperature controller, recirculating pump, and a lid. A full line of complementary grips and submersible load cells to be used with the environmental baths is also available.
