Quality control testing is only as dependable as the equipment you use
People depend on your materials— can you depend on your quality control testing?
While engineers have long understood the value of quality control testing it was not until the end of the 19th century that materials standards were created to ensure safety and durability. ASTM, the American Society for Testing and Materials, was founded in 1898 to address the frequent rail breaks experienced by the railroad industry. Since then, ASTM and others like ANSI and ISO have worked to standardize quality control testing to validate the products found throughout our lives.
ADMET’s goal is to help manufacturers increase efficiency of their in-house testing processes. Our systems automatically carry out tests according to ASTM specifications, calculating the results electronically and formatting them for printing or transferring to Excel files. This technology saves significant amounts of time while reducing manual data entry errors.
ADMET’s highly configurable and customizable load frames with detachable actuators can be used to perform a variety of tests on a single machine. Our flexible designs and competitive prices mean you can find ADMET systems throughout a broad range of industries such as foam, medical device, metals, plastics, adhesives, and transportation.

ADMET Machines: Accurate, Consistent, and Reliable
ADMET systems are outfitted with either the eP2 controller or the MTESTQuattro controller; servo-control units that will automatically control the testing machines. ADMET controllers can also be used with various software packages. The software will give you the options to set and save test methods on a PC, view live graphs and results, and share data over networks. Based on customer feedback, the eP2 and MTESTQuattro systems have a straightforward interface that is easy to learn and easy to use. They both come with the optional supervisor mode which allows only the assigned supervisor to make changes on certain menus. Onsite or online training are options during system install and technical support is provided at no charge for the lifetime of the equipment.
Quality Control Testing Case Study
Triosyn, a subsidiary of Safe Life Corporation, manufactures products using its Triosyn resin, a unique iodine preparation with significant antimicrobial properties. Triosyn engineers were finding that the differences in tensile strengths between substrate layers caused puckers to form between the materials. It was decided that testing of the polymers would need to be done prior to manufacture so that the rollers in the product could be tensioned correctly. After a detailed diagnosis by an ADMET Account Director it became clear that Triosyn’s issues would be best addressed by the eXpert 5601 Universal Testing Machine. Now, Triosyn engineers test all of the polymer roll samples when they are received so that the roller tension can be adjusted properly.
How can I help?
Jonathan Williams, Account Director, holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from the University of Connecticut. He was previously a Product Engineer at ADMET and has Quality Control, Product Design, and Validation Engineering experience. Jonathan has a deep knowledge of ADMET’s products and ASTM testing specifications.
The ADMET story started 33 years ago with testing machine retrofits and software and controller design, making the company a leader in its industry. Since then, ADMET has gone on to manufacture its own testing frames and systems, building on the core strength of its robust software design. In addition to our standard offerings, we will also tailor a custom system to meet your special testing requirements.
